Kendra Lynn HowellI'm pretty sure she also drew this seal when she was
in college.

You may have made candles before. The first time I did was melted crayons in kindergaraten!
After that, my mom used to get so mad at me for playing with candles and wax and making a
mess at home. Even so, I never thought of this creative artform before. Check out this incredible
young artist's work...
Candles...fire...arthwork? Would you ever think to do something like this??
Marion Mueller Bryantno ... Ofelia Pena McCainA friend of mine does lots of bargain hunting for
college text books online. Sometimes renting books is cheaper. Kelly Wong KimLOL! Haha... no, even in college Jona Denz-HamiltonI ask, "Are you sure you're all ready--are you sure--
really sure?" And still... Dianne DrautNo. Never. Lisa PollinoWhat's even better is when you HAVE ordered all your books
and the day before class the professor sends an email stating a new
required book has been added and you MUST have it by.... YESTERDAY!
Errrrr! Cyndy Johnston · Friends with Joe Kelley and 5 others my fave was always
the 'oh, i'm sposed to bring 33 cupcakes to school tomorrow' usually at or
around 11PM....when they go away to college, cupcakes are a damn sight
bettter than..'Mom, the fireman wants to talk to you or whoever is my
responsible adult'...
Gene Kelly would've been 100 today! If you were in Pittsburgh PA this afternoon, you'd
be witnessing 3800 U of P freshmen dancing with umbrellas to "Singing in the Rain" for
a Guinness World Record. (My kids do this in storms!)
Have YOU ever??
Who doesn't love Dick Van Dyke...and the fact that he's still alive? He's about to receive the
Screen Actors' Guild Lifetime Achievment Award. I love him for those fashion-forward pants
he wore, 40 years before saggy pants were in! How about you?
The funny-lady with the gloves, cigarette holder, and that LAUGH has passed on. Phyllis Diller
died in her sleep on Monday at the age of 95--her son found her with a SMILE on her face. The
jokes on the way out must be pretty good! What do you remember her for?
San Jose City Councilman, Sam Licardo was one of the celebrity bartenders, pouring for
tips for Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence Shelter on Wednesday. And the tips
really added up! — with Sam Liccardo.
Jona Denz-Hamilton Thank you KBAY listener, Noreen Helvie for sharing your photos--
and for taking the time to shoot them. And for being there for a great cause!
Tracy Lee this is so fabulous! i'd love to contribute somehow. i was once a sufferer
of dv. thank the Lord for helping me get out of it. :) let me know what i can do!
Nancy Avila · Friends with Ash Kalra and 4 othersDistrict 3 is well represent and
fortunate to have a very active, caring, and focus Councilman like Mr. Sam Liccardo .
Thank you for being involve. Great work Sam :)
Sam Liccardo Thanks Nancy and Chris -- I think I should bartend more often,
because clearly I get better reviews for pouring drinks than I do for my votes on
Council! Jona was clearly getting the best tips, though! Tracy, a great way to
help is by checking out the Next Door Solutions website, http://www.nextdoor.org/,
and donate a few bucks or volunteer your time. It's a great organization that provides
a lifeline for thousands of abuse victims every year. Thanks!
Next Doorwww.nextdoor.org Next Door provides victims of
domestic violence with safe, effective alternatives to a life of fear, danger and
few options.
Thank you for joining me at the Capital Club after work yesterday. I was one of the folks that
Next Door Solutions Domestic Violence Shelter invited to be a "bartender" to raise $$ for their
awesome charity. The tips overflowed--even if I followed directions and poured only HALF
glasses of wine for everyone! Lots of smiles--and meeting you in person is always fun!

When Bette Midler heard about Jusitin Bieber's fragrance, "Someday", she quipped, "That's
hilarious. It should be called 'Someday I'm gonna Shave!'"
Gina Six KudoLOL! I don't follow celeb "news" but when I saw this photo I laughed out loud!
Thank you for the stress-relief Jona. ;-)
I have friends who have friends that made the scene...experienced the vibe! What's the first
thing you think of when you hear the word "Woodstock"? I think hippies in blankets!
Ofelia Pena McCainWe had dinner at OJ's last week and sat
at the counter. My husband sat next to a guy who struck up a
conversation with him. He was older than us. He told us about
how he took his niece to see Lady Gaga, etc. He also told us
how he went to Woodstock. To quote him, "I was at Woodstock,
and IT SUCKED! No food, rain, mud, and no where to take a dump."
I guess not everyone is nostalgic.
Thank you for the stress-relief Jona. ;-)
