Just realized this is a 47 hour weekend.
Yeah…we lose an hour making Sunday a 23 hour day!!!
Which means I have one less hour to finish up the second season of House of Cards…LOL.
I've only got 2 episodes to go so I think I can…I think I can.
I got Netflix I think just a month ago. In fact, I haven't even paid for it yet as the first month was free, but in that month, I have watched the first season of Orange is the New Black and after this weekend 2 full seasons of House of Cards. That show gives me the chills!! I am still not sold on the Netflix deal that you get the entire season at once. I can't seem to pace myself….so end up "watching till I drop". Can you imagine if every show you watched released the entire season at once. I think I would have a breakdown..LOL!!!
But now the question is what show do I start watching next on Netflix. Orange doesn't start up again till June. Should I do Downton Abby? Although I am 4 seasons behind already. I don't know if I can ever catch up since I do have all my other shows to watch on Comcast… Parenthood, Nashville, Grey's Anatomy, Revenge, Good Wife, Flipping Out, Real Housewives…. Millionaire Matchmaker, Blue Bloods, Undercover Boss, The Fosters, Idol,…and …and….and…and
You spend half of your day (or at least it seems like it) with your co workers
So hopefully you like them. (or at least like most of them)
And you want them to like you back, but in case they don't. Sam and I may have figured out why. Ran across this the other day and we laughed about it this morning.
The 4 things that could make your co workers hate you.
See how many apply. I was border line on three of them.
You don't stop talking about all the good things in your life…your dog, your great kids, your wonderful vacation, your daughters' wonderful wedding. (lol)
You're always doing fundraisers. What is it you're selling? Girl Scout Cookies, Wrapping Paper, Magazines…
You ask for help all the time.
You make a lot of noise!! And not necessarily with your voice, but you drink loudly, you eat loudly..
In case you missed all the things men own that women love to throw away……here they are. There are ten of them!!!
1. Clothes. As in old t-shirts that look awful.
2. Magazine collections
3. Old hobby stuff, like model airplanes.
4. Old CDs and DVDs she doesn't like.
5. His old sofa that isn't nearly as nice as her old sofa.
6. Sports memorabilia.
7. Artwork she doesn't like.
8. Your ripped-up, old computer chair.
9. Your sound system, because it takes up too much space.
10. Weights or any fitness equipment you never use.
Pretty accurate list isn't it? Any glaring omissions?
And I've got to share this….You know all about the $1000 tip that the "pizza guy" got from Ellen for his delivery to the Oscars. His LA Pizzeria now doing booming business as well. Well, it turns out that lip balm Lupita Nyongo gave Ellen instead of tip money…and Ellen pocketed is now also the "hottest" thing around. It's called Clarins HydraQuench lip balm-$24…and by the end of the next day Clarins stores had all sold out of it…although you can still get it on their website.
Oprah and Ellen…whatever these two ladies touch turns to gold. http://www.facebook.com/SamVanZandtKBAY https://www.facebook.com/KBAYlissa
I have resisted sharing this….because I know it can't possibly be true....
(At least I hope not) that short people are less intelligent than tall people. And coming from someone who is no longer even 5 foot 1…I think that is just dumb...LOL
This is crazy research…and very discriminatory against us short people…
From Scotland. 6800 people were examined…and they found a "significant correlation" between being short and being dumb.
So I had to read on…what is short? In a woman it's below 5 foot 3 and in a man it's below 5 foot 9.
The study was actually based on genetics so basically whatever genes you got from your short parents is also making you short on intelligence.
Just dumb I say….
But here's something smart…if you're already planning your next trip.
CheapAir.com looked at 4 million flights last year and found the absolute best time to buy a plane ticket is……54 days before your trip. Any earlier or later and you'll be paying a higher price.
If you're going to Mexico…its 89 days in advance. 101 days in advance for the Caribbean, 129 days for Asia and 151 days in advance for Europe. And if you've tot the calendar out…the 54 day window doesn't apply for Christmas or Thanksgiving. Those tickets need to be bought 6 months before….in early June.
And the moral of this study is….
Don't trust anyone after lunch.
Yep…a study from Harvard that people tend to be a lot more honest in the morning.
They did a bunch of experiments, asking people to solve math problems and were told they'd be paid a nickel for every correct answer. It was based on honesty. People handed in a sheet with their score. And it turned out people who took the test in the afternoon lied about their score much more often than the morning testers. Interesting…
And this is interesting. The new trend for hair washing is to use conditioner first and shampoo second. I've never heard of that. But the idea is the conditioner softens and untangles your hair. Then you shampoo lightly afterward to wash away the heaviness of the conditioner and clean your hair without getting rid of all the moisture you just put in.
