What’s your favorite store? Not for grocery shopping but for fashion. I think must of us shop at the same places over and over again. In my case, I shop for clothes at Macys, Ann Taylor Loft and Talbots. Now if you look at my credit cards, you see I shop at several other places as well..LOL!!! but generally it’s those 3. Although lately, I try to get out to the outlets in Gilroy every few months to go to the Loft and Ann Taylor stores. Great Great bargains!!!
Saw this morning that 3000 chain stores closed last year. 5000 the year before. And five big retailers are still struggling and even more stores could be closing. The 5? Sears,
Macy’s, J.C Penney, Gap and Talbots. In fact I was down in San Luis Obispo last month and the Talbots had closed. Made my sad. The lease had ended and the store closed. I obviously didn’t go down there enough….
What stores are looking to expand? Discounters like Family Dollar Stores and the Dollar Tree.
