Didn’t get to talk about this today…but we should have…
It still makes me furious…
You know Melissa McCarthy…star of Mike and Mollie …and she was in Bridesmaids and also had a bit part in So This is 40? She is now in the new movie Identity Thief with Jason Bateman. Yes she’s overweight…but so so so funny. And seems as sweet as can be. Movie critic Rex Reed (didn’t even know he was still around) this weekend spent a lot of time talking about her weight, calling her “tractor-sized”, a “female hippo” and a “humongous creep”
In comes Eric Stonestreet of Modern Family. Sam says he’s also in the movie.
Stonestreet tweeted “ Turns out Rex Reed didn’t die sad and alone ten years ago”

How dare Reed!!!!
Although I guess Melissa got the last laugh as despite mixed reviews..Sam didn’t like Identity Thief…the movie made 36 million dollars…
Still doesn’t take away the hurtful words….
I always wonder when people are so nasty about weight…what makes them do it…
Like Melissa doesn’t know she’s overweight. In fact I read last month she was trying to lose weight but CBS was against it because of her successful comedy.
