Don’t know if you heard out story at 8:20….about the woman who bought her son an iPad online for Christmas, but Best Buy messed up the order and sent 5 iPads instead of one. The family tried to do the right thing and contacted the company to return them..but when Best Buy wrote back, they thanked them for being honest and said, quote “keep the additional iPads and give them to people in need, …friends, family, a local school or charity.”
We never got the final chapter. I don’t know what the family did , if they kept them , sold them or gave them away…but its sure a nice feel good holiday story…and lets face it we don’t get enough of those!!!
Gotta ask though…what would you have done. I probably would have called Best Buy, but part of me would want to put them in my book room….hold them for a month or so to see if Best Buy contacted me…and if they didn’t I’d give them as gifts. Although I would be honest in the giving ..and say Best Buy made a mistake. SO Im not totally bad..LOL!!
Speaking of gifts..hope we’ll see you tomorrow for our annual toys for tots drive at Christmas in the Park..downtown San Jose. We call it stuff the bus…because that’s just what we do….and usually 2 buses before the day is out. Sam and I will be out there from 10-2…we’d love to see you..and your toys!! BTW..if youre still trying to get a KBAY Holiday CD…we will have them with us!!!.
