You learn something everyday...
The typical dog produces 274 pounds of poop every year... 274 Pounds!!! Now thats a big pile of poop...
No wonder I'm stepping in it all the time. Don't you wish you could do something to people who dont clean up after their dogs..maybe drop the poop off on their doorstep... I walk Daisy every day now ....1.3 miles...and we usually run into 2 or 3 dogs along the way, and rarely do I see a "pooper bag" . I know they could be hidden on the side of their leash....but looking at the sidewalk and the grass around me....I don't think so.
And yes,...I know I'm not doing the "green" thing by using plastic grocery bags as "pooper bags" but at least I'm using recycled bags. Every time I go to the Longs on Lincoln in Willow Glen, I grab a bunch of bags that are in the recycling bin.!!!!!
Still can't get over the ad I saw..for a company that cleans up your dogs poop...They'll come out as many times as you want them to..weekly..monthly...yearly (ugh..that would be a pile) to scoop up the poop. Now that's a luxery!!!!
Where's Sam?...in Nicaragua...Where's Waldo?..I don't know..I could never spot him...and Where's Robin?....(yes so many calls) She's been with her Mom in New Orleans..There was a death in the family.... yes...its been a couple of sad weeks for her. We'll be glad to have her back and hopfully Monday. We've missed her too!!!
Tomorrow..yeah..Friday....Free Gas Friday. Jona's got $100 gas cards to give away..but Michael Moore and I will have
2 sets of Earth, Wind and Fire tickets to give away...
and then Monday...It's SAM AND LISSA!!!

Forget the rage right now for busting fat and cellulite....that was so yesterday....literally...I got the works at Morphosis... ..we,ve got to get this spa treatment....the one thats such a hit back east... the fish pedicure.
You dunk your feet into a tank filed with little fish..toothless carp..
they suck your feet clean of dead skin and calluses... How's that for a visual!!!!!!
Not for me though.I cant even snorkle....fish nibbling on me gives me the tickles and the creeps!!!!
Who watches Young and the Restless....I cant believe whats about to happen... They're killing off Sabrina...and she just started a couple of months ago. Fans don't like her with Victor, but I actually had gotten used to her..thought it gave the show some new story lines..although i do agree there's nothing like a great Victor-Niki storyline... Dont miss Fridays show...Thats the beginning of the end !!! although I guess she'll be in a coma for a couple of weeks..
What's my life coming to...blogging about Y and R... I've watched it since Day One... truly since Day One... My Mom and I watched it together, and when Christina comes home from Cal Poly..I make her watch it with me. It's the one show I never miss....I DVR it every day, and if theres just one show I can watch..its this one...There have even been a few times on vacation, when I made up some story on why I had to go up to the hotel room...so I could secretly watch it.
I confess...I'm addicted to Young and the Restless!!!!!!!!
And I'm addicted to Sam...2 more shows..and he'll be back from Nicaragua!!!!.

Your favorite brand of sunscreen? Is it whatever's on sale?. That's what I normally say about toilet paper..or cat litter but when it comes to sunscreen, I'm much pickier
and hopefully you are too. When the girls were little, I bought them the kids sunblock made by Banana Boat or Coppertone, and always wit the highest SPF which back then was 30. Now, I see stuff with a SPF of 45, even 60 and did I see one for 90? I've bought Neutrogena for myself...but I hate to admit it I rarely put on sunscreen and as you probably know,to make matters worse,I tan!!!!!and yes..the folks at Morphosis do know how bad I am,
The big sun story today is that none of these 3 brands..Coppertone, Banana Boat or Neutrogena, is that great. A consumer report says 4 of 5 sunscreens dont give you the protection you need..that they block too little of the suns harmful U-V radiation or contain unsafe ingredients.
So what are the best sunscreens:

Good thing I bought my tickets to Italy back in June..because they're already $150 more a piece than they were, and that was just six weeks ago. Now, I'm trying to get a ticket to Disneyland from here in October, and they're costlier than I've ever paid for that one hour and ten minute flight. Darrin told me to fly Jet Blue which he did into Long Beach this weekend, but there aren't as many flights, and I'd miss some Disneyland time!!!!!
Saw a survey this morning air fares are now so expensive..that 4 out of ten are willing to give up a restroom on board, if it meant cheaper tickets (I dont think so) and one in four said they would be willing to stand up for even a long cross country flight if it meant half off on a ticket price. (that of course could never happen) Next thing you know we'll be standing on a plane, like we would for a BART or subway ride...hanging on to a rope or bar.

So one in 4 American workers get NO vacation time....But Sam's not one of them...Not only does he get vacation time..he's off this weekend to Nicaragua.....with his wife-Carol. Should be a great week for him. His son is married to a Nicaragua woman, and they're renewing their wedding vows at a Sunday fiesta..and Sam and Carol will be guests of honor!!!! Theyre also going to a coffee plantation in the mountains.... No..its not called Starbucks!!!!!
and then , they're off to a five star resort on the coast in a town called Montelimar.. ..which happens to be just a few miles from the bar where Matthew McConaughey got drunk..got robbed..and lost his flip flops...Maybe Sam will find them!!!!!
Darren will be sitting in Monday. We'll be in search of someone who saw both Batman and Mamma Mia!!!! I plan to see Mamma Mia, but not Batman. I have to admit I've never seen a Batman movie...at least I don't think I have., I did watch the TV Show!....but I didn't really have a choice. I have three brothers. Besides I thought Adam West was handsome.
It's also Mt. Winery Monday. As always, we'll have the winning times at 7:20. You'll be excited ...It's for our hometown favorite... the Doobie Brothers. Pat Simmons, of course, an alum of my alma mater..Leigh High School. He and my brother Richard were friends. He used our bathroom once!!!!!! Yeah..try and top that......

Thanks to Sue's Coffee Roasting Company in Gilroy for having us this morning... Always fun to take the show on the road, and no one is more fun than Karen who runs that place in the morning. Stop by and see her sometime. She brews a mean cup of coffee!!!!. Monterey and Fifth ...... And then walk across the street to the Gilroy Bowling Alley....We understand they have the best hot dogs and chef salads.
Take a look at the KBAY scrapbook...Should have some pictures up of this mornings show... Many guest stars..Courtney whose now-fiance asked her to marry him after hearing John Mayer's "Say" ...Say what you want to say..and he did...Will You Marry Me? and all the cute ladies from the "View from the Pew". They have a regular spot at the coffee house for Wednesdays after church at St Marys.. They could give Barbara Walters and gang a run for their money.
Even had women stop by with undies for Tom Jones tickets tonite at the Mt Winery...Most were wearing theirs (Jockeys) but one gal went and bought a new pair. They were "granny panties" which are very appropriate for we baby boomers who grew up with Tom (haha). I told her to make sure she takes the plastic hanger off, before throwing them. If you''re going to the show tonite, get there early and take your seats, so you can see and hear Steve Fox. Yea......what's he doing introducing Tom Jones?
Gilroy will be packed next weekend...for the 30th annual Garlic Festival!!!
And lookie here...we're about to start another weekend.. Love Friday's at KBAY....Free Gas Fridays.... Gas cards to give away between 9 and 11.

Weve got our big roadshow tomorrow morning ,down 101 to Gilroy where the garlic is smelling fine these days!!!
No doubt about.....you can always tell when its close to the Gilroy Garlic Festival. Yes, the signs go up..but there's also a definite "whiff" in the air. We'll be broadcasting live tomorrow..from 5-9 at Sues Coffee Roasting Company on Monterey at Fifth.
Everone who comes out to one of our live shows always has a good time...at least that's what they tell us...And a few even get on the air. Might as well be you, right?
Heard from at least one listener this morning..who didn't agree with the important poll of the morning...Who would be a better kisser...Barack Obama or John Mc Cain? Isn't it nice to know there are journalists out there willing to ask the real tough questions in the Presidential race (lol). Well, nearly 8 out of ten said it's got to be Barack Obama....Even Republicans agreed. But not one of our faithul listeners..Sharon....she said it's got to be McCain..that he is one sexy man....and she doesn't care how old he is!!!!!!!!!!adding he's got that "look" like he knows exactly what to do in that department...
We'll leave it at that....until tomorrow....

Nothing funny about the economy these days....
especially with what's happening at the banks
but...........

They don't even bother to chain the pens anymore.

Their new hours: 10:00 to 10:03 A.M. (so see... the new and streamlined 5-9 Sam and Lissa show isn't that bad)
Even though you deposited thousands, your last statement read zero and came with a card featuring a cartoon puppy declaring, "Oopsie"!
Instead of toasters, they give away bread and a box of matches.
When you put your card in the ATM, a guy hiding inside grabs it and takes off.
When you try to apply for a loan, they slap you in the face and ask how you could be so greedy.
And finally.....
President Bush declares them in "great financial shape."

Well..I did my part for the San Luis Obispo economy....I got Christina all set for her apartment...and then when I left yesterday..I t hought to myself...Wait..a college apartment isn't supposed to look this nice...and then I realized that's just true about guys!! Guys have hand me down stuff...old ratty furniture and mismatched dishes and glasses, but not gals!!!! Everything matches...is new..and is PINK!!!!!!
And may I say once again...that this "big girl" growing up stuff is no fun.....it makes this "Old Girl" sad!!!!!
Getting ready for vacation? Sam is...He and his wife-Carol- are going to Nicarauga next week and even in radio , where ever thing is immediate, you have to work overtime to go on vacation. There's so much to do ahead of time... like his Southbay Sunday shows, and other things done when we're not on the air, that by the time you leave for vacation, you're almost too tired to go..and then as you know when you come back from vacation, there's so much on your desk that you need another vacation......It's a vicious cycle!!!!!!
But you know what the alternative is.yep....no job..no vacation.Since we're both thrilled to have jobs....we will never complain about what it takes to go on vacation!!!!
Tomorrow is Get out of the Doghouse Day....so if you need a free pass, we'll take your calls at 7:10.. and for Too Early to Think, we've got Gilroy Gardens tickets!!!!

Robert Farnam is his name. He's 52 and faked a heart attack to avoid paying for a 22 dollar meal at Applebees.
It worked..He got rushed to the hospital, but the Doctor recognized him. Robert has been scamming quite a few for free meals and cab rides over the past year by faking heart attacks. A judge had already banned him from one restaurant chain....No worries now though....all his meals are free at the county jail!!!!!

So sad to say we don't have another holiday until Labor Day..which is Monday September First by the way...
Hate to think what gas prices willl be by that long weekend, although it does seem like they've gone down a couple of cents a gallon the last few days.
July 4th in Morgan Hill was as great as ever. The parade was so much fun. It always is, but this year Jon from Performance Art and his better-half Cathy were our drivers...in an El Dorado!!!! We got our tri-tip sandwiches as always from the guy who has a stand on, I think, DeWitt.. He always runs out to our car as we go by.. I wish I knew his name..His tri-tips are the best... Sam and I save them for the drive home...
Sam then went out of town...and he gave me his 4 Giants tickets...And not only are they great seats...but Barry Zito pitched and actually won. I thought it so ironic that I'm at the game..since I'm always ridiculing him for losing. I ate from start to finish..I had a Kosher dog....fries...(not the garlic ones..theyre too stinky)...peanuts..cracker jacks, coffee (it got cold) and an ice cream malt... That's why I needed the coffee....
Wish I had enough stomach to go to I-HOP...They're 50 today. As I said this morning..it's the only place where I can still get cheese blintzes!!!! And this week..theyve got Cheesecake Pancakes. I might go when I'm in San Luis Obispo this weekend. No one this morning would admit eating there,,,but everytime I'm at the one near Cal Poly we have to wait half an hour!!!!
Sam will be back tomorrow...we'll go over the list of top ten dog tricks at 7-10.. You can let us know which one we missed.. I know there are alot of Super-Dogs out there!!..We also have Roaring Camp tickets at 6:40 during Too Early to Think.

Big Big weekend.....It will be a blast!!!!!!!
If you'll be in Morgan Hill for the parade Friday..make sure you yell at us as we drive by . I wish I could tell you what car to look for...Just look for 2 "yokels" wearing some sort of red, white and blue, sitting on the back of a convertible... We'll yell back..I promise. If you want to see the parade route, just click on the banner on the KBAY home page. It will take you to the Morgan Hill website. The whole day is a blast in Morgan Hill, with a festival downtown and fireworks at dusk at Community Park.
After the parade, Sam's taking off for his in- laws in Placerville..to work some more on a deck, I swear he and his wife-Carol- have been building for years and years..and even more years. He's getting some water skiing in as well and swears he may have to wear his t-shirt if his week-long crash diet hasn't worked.
I am going to the Giants game with my girlfriends. Sam gave me his tickets. I am so excited. I will be eating all 9 innings. I'll finally get one of those malts I used to get at the Sharks games... We'll go over the full menu on Monday.
Monday is of course MT. WINERY MONDAY......and wth a twist. Tom Jones is the man of the hour, but after you hear me give the times at 7:20...you'll listen for the clip of Tom Jones singing "What's New Pussycat, and that's when you'll call.

We learned two very important things about summer today. You can wear a bikini until you have too much cellulite and or stretch marks....and you've eaten too many hot dogs!!! Actually , I just threw that in. Since we will be eating plenty of hot dogs this holiday weekend, we went over the necessary ingredients.
I go for the New York style.....spicy mustard and kraut.
Sam likes the Chicago dog....yellow mustard "nuclear" relish (it's the blue stuff) chopped onions, 2 tomato wedges, a pickle spear, 2 sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt (not necessary)
Regina called. She likes the Simple Dog...just mustard.
Our little pal Eric likes chili, bacon, onions on a hebrew national. We called that the killer kosher dog.
The best goes to Regina...says in L.A..you get them wrapped in bacon and smothered in pico de gallo.... so we called that the bacon-pico dog!!!!
Just don't eat it like they do in Seattle.. with cream cheese and onions and salmon-shavings....YUCK!!!
I know..I know..that website I gave you yesterday didn't work... the one so sweet you'd cry!! Sam to the rescue...He says Google Christian the Lion Reunion... Hopefully that will work for you....It's a video of 2 guys who released their pet lion into the wild..and returned a year later to see her.....They were told the lion wouldn't even know who they were....Wait until you see!!!!!

Can you believe it's the last day of June? We're at the official half way point of the year. And last Wednesday was the six month marker to Christmas. This year is just sailing by. It's already time for Sam and I to be in the July 4th parade in Morgan Hill...Yep..it's Friday at 10. Debra called this morning said her summer tradition is bringing lime-aid to the parade....that alot of folks do the same. So if you get thirsty, just start walking along the parade route...someone will have a thermos. Every year, Sam and I have been in the parade, a guy near the Church on what I think is DeWitt runs up to hand us a tri-tip sandwich. I sure hope he shows again this year.
Talking about summer traditions this morning...Eric called to say he and his buddies once or twice get to go to the waterslide at GolfLand on Blossom Hill Road. Sam and I would get to go with our families to the Boardwalk...My Mom always had to have a red candied apple...and on the way home we'd stop at Marianis Ice Cream Parlor. Sams family would stop at a cider place in Scotts Valley.
Sam got a car this weekend.. that gets better gas mileage....He got a Saturn and got the guy to drop the price by an additional one thousand dollars. I got a new pair of shoes..but paid full price. One man called and said his wife gets a discount on everything...even at discount stores. He loves the thousands shes saved him, but is too embarrased to go in the store with her...

So we found out today that Sam not only has one pool in his townhome development..but two...and hes still complaining ...
the kids are jumping in doing cannonballs..and throwing balls around....and then there are the half naked kids making out ...never any parents around!!! And we found out today that I live in a townhouse development and have NO POOL!!!!
And now I'm complaining.......
Peter called and said he did have a pool..that he promised the kids one ..but now the kids are in college...so he's got a pool...and no one's swimming in it. I told him we could fix that!!!! He wouldnt give his address (lol).
Hard to complain when you win a $100 gas card like Denise did Friday morning. Poor thing...she's been riding her bike to work... We decided though she wasn't that bad off...the bike is a SCHWINN with a basket and a ringer-dinger bell!!!!
We'll have more gas cards next Friday.....
We've got Mountain Winery Monday coming...winning times for Donna Summer tickets at 7:20...plus we think we've found a sumertime pastime that is really in the past.We don't think anyone does it anymore... Any guesses as to what we're talking about. Tune in Monday..see if you were right..and if we're right.

What a great morning in Willow Glen...Sam and I got all gussied up...(well actually I did...because after all it was Willow Glen) and it was a fun show. Our Engineer Mike Stockwell actually let us go inside of the Starbucks at Lincoln and Minnesota. So we weren't freezing as we usually are during our "KBAY Cares" shows... We took Sam's seat though right at the front window. Funny Story...Sam(not our Sam) had been sitting at our table for the last 12 years...yep almost every day...and he showed up with his pals this morning..and oops..there we were!!!! He was great about it...He just relocated to another Starbucks table...He'll get his usual place back tomorrow.
Next time you're in that Starbucks say hi to Katie the manager...and if you're "drinking-in" ask for a white ceramic cup...It makes the coffee so much better!!!! Yeah..I didn't know you could get real mugs if you're staying inside the store.
Check the KBAY scrapbook. Darrin usually gets the photos up fairly quickly...They should be posted right on top of the Stduio 94 pictures.

We've got our traveling shoes on....or as Sam would say his New Balence running shoes that he got from Becks Shoes....
(he's even got me saying his line) But will be a busy few weeks for us..KBAY Cares from Willow Glen tomorrow..
Starbucks at Lincoln and Minnesota is even setting up a "coffee" table for us inside....so we don't have to brave the elements...which means you don't either....come inside..have coffee with us. First time we've done our show from Willow Glen...Lincoln Avenue is such a great street.....wonderful speciality stores...and great neighborhood restaurants.
Next week, we're off to Morgan Hill again...for the July 4th parade..on of all days..July 4th (Friday) What an event that is...
the whole town turns out..to either be in the parade or watch the parade...But it too is so much fun...Don't yet know which car they'll have us in...Always so great to see so many of our listeners..and not just from Morgan Hill..but other areas lining the parade route... Patriotism at it's best that day!!!
And then next month, we'll do our show from Gilroy... will be a warm- up to the Garlic Festival...Circle July 17th on your calendar....

Got the scale out this morning to weigh my purse....5.5 pounds. Had to see if the latest study was right that the average woman lugs over 5 pounds of "essentials" daily....and hauling such a load can throw your spine out of alignment--leading to neck and back pain. So we asked you...what does your purse weigh? and as Sam and I always suspected...we don't have "average" listeners. Kim's purse weighs 6 and a half pounds. She carries around her GPS...says it fits right into the side compartment. Helps her and her co workers pick a place for lunch.
Anne Marie's purse weighs 25 pounds. She's got everything in it...sort of like a shopping cart with straps but our favorite was Joanne who has a self-contained bag, literally...She has anything and everything..smelling salts..in case shes at HP Pavillion and someone passes out...candy in case someone needs a sugar fix..sudafed..aspirin..bandaids, a flashlight....but no money!!!! No room for that...
For you guys..Sam emptied his "purse"--his pocket--...keys and a wallet.
What to give away tomorrow?....Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey tickets. Rebecca won them today..said if she were in the circus..she'd want to be a tiger....now that's a "performer".
For Too Early to Think at 6:40...we have tickets to Gilroy Gardens.

So it looks like survey is right..that a third dont use all of their vacation time...and no matter how much they get. I think Sam and I are the only ones who do....but maybe we shouldn't. We got calls this morning from Annette and Angela who told us of people who left on vacation..and then returned to find out they were no longer working. The company did fine without them... Yikes!!!!!
Perhaps Mike Myers needs to go on a vacation....from making movies. The Love Guru sure bombed this weekend. I guess we should have known that when a movie is hyped as much as that one was...there was nothing worth seeing.
Sam saw Get Smart and love it..and said even his wife-Carol- who had not seen the original Get Smart series "got it".Said there were many times when he was laughing out loud!!!
My Christina didn't have any interest in seeing it..or thankfully the Love Guru....but what we did see was absolutely awful...Adam Sandler's You Don't Mess with the Zohan....It is nothing but crude humor....Not a funny thing about it.
May be the worst movie he's ever made...even worse than Waterboy!!!!
Thursday we're on the road again....It's KBAY Cares about Willow Glen, so come on out anytime between 5:30 and 10. We'll be outside the Starbucks at the corner of Lincoln and Minnesota.

Love the weekends..and what a busy one this time around...
Studio 94 Dance Party Friday night and Saturday morning, Sam and I will be back downtown at City View Plaza (the old Park Center Plaza at the corner of San Fernando and Almaden) for the National Kidney Foundation Walk and Run. If you'd like to join us and haven't signed up, you can do so right on the spot at 9am.
We'll be meeting practically right outside our station...Yep..now you know where we're located.
Big give-aways next week, if you like that sort of thing. Mountain Winery Monday starts off the week. 7:20 we'll give you the winning times for Pat Benatar's summer concert. We'll hit you with our best shot!!!!!!!
ALso tickets all week to the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus.....there's a sure sign summer's here...and tickets to one of our favorite places- Gilroy Gardens. We've also got Free Gas Friday and SJ Rep Thursday.
And finally..who did we make thirsty and hungry for an ice cream soda? Try the old fashioned ice cream parlor at History San Jose Park...or take Sue up on her suggestion..the Diner of Los Gatos...She said they were yummy there... plus I hear they have great burgers!!!!

Don't know what your kids play with now...probably it's The Wii..or Playstation....but way back when....it was the hula hoop...The hula hoop is 50 years old this week... we did more hip swiveling than Elvis Presley did back then...althugh not me..I was a clod..uncoordinated..and Sam said he wasn't much better. Back then..they cost a buck 98. It was the grand-daddy of all fads....and now...they just collect cobwebs in the garage. I don't think anyone has found a way to fit them into one of those skinny garbage cans. Actually...people now use them to exercise....You can pay 30 bucks for one ..and thanks to a listener..we found out theres even a website called hooping.org...
Sam and I were talking on the air about the KBAY kitchen...filthy as usual....but today the Controller was in there...throwing everything out....She'd seen her last dirty plate and dirty fork that's been in the sink since February. What is it about the office kitchen? We would never leave our kitchen at home look like that...

I just want to let everyone know how disappointed I am that the cleaning lady had to wash up your dirty dishes and cutlery last nite. I must apologize for not being aware that we have Royalty working among us here who are in the habit of having servants clean up after them. Would the Royalty among us please note that if they want servants to clean up after them they should bring them from home because we dont have any servants on our payroll!!!!

Was like true confessions this morning....on National Splurge Day. I've been carrying around a ton of guilt in my brand new Coach bag. I still can't believe I bought it --along with a Coach wallet... Even with a 25 percent coupon, it was a lot of money, and it wasn't even a birthday. I truly had no good reason to splurge. It just happened!!!
But then other women called...like the one who bought a Gucci bag for $600. She had just gotten a promotion though. And then there was the caller who bought a $400 Juicy dog carrier....you know the kind Paris Hilton would have. Sam's big splurge by the way, other than the "Thunder Down Under" dessert at the Outback, was an $85 silk t-shirt.
Pedro e- mailed me that he's been splurging alot lately.....every time he fills up.....SO TRUE!!!!!
Hope you got to see America's Got Talent last nite... Everyones talking about "opera guy". Hard to believe that there will be anyone this summer who can beat him. So odd..the guy who won the British version of this show (also Simon Cowell's ) was also an opera singer who blew everyone away. Same reaction with the crowd too where everyone stood up and started applauding and screaming.
Tomorrow--San Jose Rep Thursday....so theater tickets to give away...and Great America tickets..and Studio 94....the big dance party is Friday night....and more Ice Cream Zoofari passes .
The day after tomorrow...Friday---Free Gas Friday!!!! We'll have a $100 gas card at 9.

If you missed the show this morning, you missed the big revelation on my GQ Partner....the man who is so handsome..such a gentleman..always impeccably dressed....and just darn hunky....Sam Van Zandt does not...I repeat..does not ...use toilet seat covers in a public restroom. I know...I thought it was shocking too (LOL) Even our male listeners like Tom thought it was gross!!!! Nicole couldn't believe it. She uses 10 covers at a time for her children.
And how did we learn this upsetting news? We were doing the follow up to the guy who last year in St Louis sat on a toilet seat at Home Depot, not knowing it was covered in glue. Yep..he too wasn't using a toilet seat cover...because if he had he wouldnt have had to painfully rip his body off the toilet. He's now suing for 25k. And that's when the shocking revelation came out that Sam doesn't cover the seat as well.
And he thought he was going to bump butts with me at Studio 94 Friday night!!!!
FInally got to the amazing shrinking stuff this morning....you know the smaller containers but the bigger price for everything from ice cream..to butter...to mayo and chips. Even 12 ounce bottles of beer are now 11.2 ounces. One listener said even clothes are shrinking in size these day!!!
Tomorrow morning's show.....Great America tickets...You'll need to give us a good roller coaster story for those..

Getting close to $5 a gallon for gas...I paid $4-79 Saturday, although it is for Premium. But Sam's at $4-66 for Medium grade.... I am in the habit now of looking at all the gas station price signs I drive by and if I see one a few cents cheaper than the others, I'll pull in and fill up whether or not I need to . But it is crazy what people are doing in San Diego.....driving the 17 miles to Tijuana to get gas for $2-50. Even though it burns two gallons of gas waiting in traffic for two hours to get back into the U-S..they say its worth it.... I',m not so sure!!!!
The postal service says they lose 8 million dollars a year every time gas goes up a penny a gallon...and with 215 thousand postal vehicles out their daily delivering mail....that means tens of millions of gallons of gas. So Sam's idea is to get rid of Saturday service. A couple of listeners agreed with him..but I say NO...DON'T DO IT.. I love getting mail every day...even if it's bills..I never miss walking to the mailbox. It's my link to the world. I know...Sam thinks I'm nuts too..
We will have more gas money on Friday..Free Gas Friday.
And for tomorrow...Great America tickets...probably between 7 and 8. We'll be talking roller coasters at 7:10. Have Ice Cream Zoofari tickets at Happy Hollow at 6:40 with Too Early to Think..and yep..more dance party invites to Studio 94 this coming Friday night at Hotel Valencia in Santana Row.

Okay Dads...its your day this Sunday ..make the most of it...
Sam is celebrating with the Giants (it figures--he just loves those guys).. He will have three special guests with him though...in fact three generations of guests.....one of his 3 sons...the son's father- in- law...and Sam's little grandson.
Yep--his wife Carol-- is staying home. It's a Dad-Grandpa kind of day....and Sam gets to wear both of those hats...how fun that will be!!!!! What's that Mastercard commercial say?....PRICELESS!!!!
Christina and I will be taking my dad-Marty-out to dinner on Sunday. Yes..Christina is home from Cal Poly..but for just a week. She's doing just what Tori did...attend school all year round...and NOT COME HOME!!!! boo hoo..
I'm taking Christina to San Francisco after our show on Saturday. We'll spend the night in Union Square..and do all the tourist stuff.

We found out so much about you this morning....that Sam and Lissa morning show listeners steal...not from the store (that would make us a thief) but from work and after all the boss owes us!!!! If that's you you're just like alot of other people. Almost one in four steal office supplies...usually pens, pencils and rulers...and copy paper!!! One woman who works for a school says she has taken home reams of paper. Sam warned her...if caught..she could be facing a different "ream".. But my favorite was Abigal (not her real name) She takes home toilet paper.,..yep TP...hides it right in her big purse... I told her it's always on sale..but she said nothing can beat the price at work...FREE!!!!
Then there was the topic about sunscreen...the five places we forget to cover...
1. Your hair...(scalp) Sounds gross...but they say to get spray on sunscreen and run it through your hair. Side benefit---it prevents your hair from fading and getting damaged.
2. Your ears. That's where Sam's brother got skin cancer. He's a golfer and now wears a huge hat!!!
3.The top of your feet. A listener called and said don't forget the bottom either!!!
4. The back of your neck. Those with long hair always forget this area.
5 The top of your chest...which Sam said keeps getting lower and lower every year!!
My favorite call was from Eva who, like me, makes certain the kids are always lathered up...but doesn't worry about herself. She's my fellow sun worshipper...said she "bakes her flesh", adding we're all going to die...but at least she'll look good going down!!!!!
Yeah..tomorrow's Friday....so what if it's Friday the 13th. We've got more gas cash to give away...up to $1000. Make sure you're signed up with the KBAY Connection.
