The weekend was rolling so well with the success of the Teachers' Aid Coalition's beautiful fundraiser in Morgan Hill. Then came the shock of hearing about WHITNEY HOUSTON. It was one of those nights you really needed a lift--and Saturday Night Live did something it hasn't in awhile--it was totally laugh-out-loud funny! Thank guest-host, the hilarious ZOOEY DESCHANEL (star of New Girl).

Another show WAY worth downloading if you missed it, was the GRAMMYS. There were so many "oh wow" moments. I think my favorite was the wrap-up where PAUL MCCARTNEY got into a BEATLES' Abbey Road medley--five other incredible guitarists lined up to jam with him, including BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and JOE WALSH of the Eagles. It was pretty heavenly if you love rock music! Of course kudos to ADELE--"Mum! Girl did good!"
