Father's Day is a great time to make family memories. I hope yours was full of good ones. It's funny how the quirky things are remembered. Ours started off with son Jeff cooking breakfast and setting off the blaring smoke alarm that sent kitties diving for cover and the fire department ringing us--then the security company. The system works!
You'd have chuckled at my father-in-law at dinner. After he was showered with cards it was my husband Alan's turn, to which he remarked, "Oh! That's right--you're a father too--I forgot!" We must have made him feel pretty special!

Happy birthday to one of your favorite musical icons today. Sir Paul McCartney has gone beyond turning the "64" he sang about so well--to the big 7-oh! Is he still "The Cute One"?
